Diana & Denise Steinhagen

We sisters first learned metalsmithing basics from our high school art teacher, Marilyn Wilson. It wasn’t until 2000 (25+ years later) that jewelry making became our focus. Art shows had opened our eyes to the fascinating & unique styles of jewelry artists and, in a nutshell, put us on the path to re-visit those almost forgotten metal working skills learned so many years before. Friendships were formed with other metalsmiths & afternoon get-togethers to experiment with different techniques became a regular treat, especially with mentor Charlie Brown. We enjoy mixing metals, styles, & techniques to create unique pieces, and often incorporate stones as either an accent to the metalwork or as the centerpiece. Many thanks to all who have encouraged & supported us in this venture, with special thanks to Dan & Linda Baker (bakercustomjewelry.com
