Greg Verret

About the artist

Greg is a native Texan. Born in Victoria he has called San Marcos home since 2000. A retired military veteran with 27 years of service in both the United States Marine Corps and the US Army. Greg set aside his passion for art and art scholarship to serve his country. After retiring he rediscovered his love for art creating a body of art in various mediums. Greg’s style is mostly realism, but with a twist of whimsy. “I strive for detail and order, but I’m not bound to it. I like to create pieces that invoke an emotional response that the viewer can relate to but at the same time a little ambiguity.” Color is important but so is the monochrome noir one finds in the simplicity of pen & ink.
