About the artist…

For years I worked in the blood bank field running a transfusion service, education department, then going into sales. When I retired, I discovered my artistic side.

Weaving is fascinating to me, particularly “intuitive weaving”. No patterns are used. Instead, the yarn lets me know the next direction to go for color and texture. The beautiful interactions of innumerable yarns and ribbons are endless, with no two scarves or wall hangings being the same. It is the stunning richness of these woven works, along with the surprise of seeing the finished products as they are pulled off the roller of the loom, that inspires me in this fiber art. Felting in this manner of following instinct and heart is equally rewarding.
