Marcy Young

About the artist

Ms. Young spent six months at the Texas Institute of Jewelry Technology in Paris, Texas, studying jewelry fabrication techniques. In college at North Texas University, she studied art and worked at a custom jewelry shop in Denton creating gold jewelry using the lost wax casting method. She spent a large part of her career as an accountant and information systems analyst while continuing to study and use her artistic talents. Now that she is semi-retired, she has returned to art, making jewelry and artistic clocks. She has created a decoupage technique, using high quality watercolors and handmade rice paper attached to silver wire, creating a stained-glass window effect.
