About the artist…

Susan Warren has been a creator of many arts and crafts but Mosaics is her current passion. Self-taught with an interest in reusing broken objects as well as found items.

From an early age she began with crayons and colored pencils, to illustrate grade school work. High School art classes taught her, silversmithing, working with clay, wire sculpture, pencils and charcoal drawing and painting. Moving to San Marcos in 1972 to pursue a degree in Industrial Arts. Then in 1981 took a job with Texas State University in the Accounting office as the Travel Coordinator. While working for Tx State, created the logo used for the division’s monthly newsletter. Retired in 2008 and began a small business selling at the local Farmers’ Market. In 2019, began teaching Art and Craft classes with the non-profit named “Own Your Own Universe” (OYOU), started by Terri Hendrix.
